Web22 aug. 2005 · The RS IIIa is a good speaker and easy to drive. Any of your amps should work. This is because the woofers are wired in series, so the ohms are not too low. If the woofers have never been refoamed, then check the surrounds for tears and cracks. This speaker is very flexible for set-up and OK for small rooms or close to walls for extra bass. Web28 aug. 2012 · I compared these speakers back in 1985 at a military retail store against Polk audio, all Bose systems available, dbx, Cerwin Vega and even klipsch. and the only comparable sound quality to them was the Bose 601 (not the 901). the Bose 601 sound as beatutifull to the RS-II however they did not handle as much Power as the Infinity did. jeff homrig latham

These drivers were ahead of their time in design and performance and still remarkable today. The Kappa 8’s and 9’s replace the RS3b’s and they were the one’s that did not have any boxy sound at all. jeff hong
