Cysoing abbey

L'abbaye Saint-Calixte de Cysoing est une ancienne abbaye de l'ordre des Augustins fondée en 833 par Évrard de Frioul et son épouse Gisèle. Un château du XVIII siècle occupe son emplacement. Cysoing is a commune in the Nord department in northern France, 15 km (9.3 mi) southeast of Lille. It is twinned with the English town of Much Wenlock. An obsolete spelling is Cisoin.
